Geodesic Dome

A unique destination to rejuvenate your body and soul

Yoga lesson at geodesic dome Las Qolqas

Our Geodesic dome is nestled at the foot of the Apu Pututuyuc, an 800 meter cliff where many condors nest. It is surrounded by fruit trees and aromatic herbs used in our infusions. It’s private setting lends itself for relaxing and peaceful experiences.

The Geodesic Dome was designed and assembled by Jorge Maron, a Brazilian expert in Sustainable Design, together with Eco Construccion, a local contractor who are experts in wooden constructions. The dome has a diameter of 10 meters (33 feet) and a height of 5.2 meters (17 feet).  It’s wooden skeleton and the floor are made of Misa wood (‘Brazilian oak’) with wall panels of reinforced glass, providing 360 degree views of the surroundings.

We chose this format because of their efficient use of materials, their capacity to conserve energy, their great acoustics and aesthetic design that maximises the views of the rising sun and the mountains around us.

This is a multi-purpose venue which we offer to groups of yoga practitioners, for dance lessons, meditation and music concerts.  Ideal for groups of up to 20 people.

We also host weddings or receptions and it comfortably accommodates 45 seated guests.
