In November 2024, Turismo Cuida, in collaboration with the TUI Foundation, launched a program to promote fair trade and entrepreneurship among weavers from five communities in the District of Ollantaytambo. As a proud member of Turismo Cuida, Las Qolqas actively supports the artisans of Quellccancca, Yanamayo, Huilloc, Rumira-Sondormayo, and Patacancha by dedicating the lodge’s boutique as a space for them to showcase their woven creations. All proceeds from the sale of these crafts go directly to the weavers.
Guests at Las Qolqas can admire the artistry of these woven patterns in the pillows and placemats displayed throughout the property. If inspired, guests are welcome to purchase these unique pieces from our shop, with the assurance that every cent goes to support the talented weavers.
